Erik Ramanathan article

edit

Hi Rusalkii! Just a friendly ping to let you know I replied to your feedback to my request on the Erik Ramanathan Talk page. Let me know if you have any questions. Danilo Two (talk) 16:26, 13 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi Rusalkii! In case you missed it (and you're still interested), I posted a request for some straightforward edits to the remaining sections of the Erik Ramanathan article at Talk:Erik_Ramanathan#Updates_to_introduction,_Education,_and_Personal_life. Danilo Two (talk) 14:02, 28 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hi @Rusalkii: I just wanted to ping this one last time to see if you still have any interest in taking a look at my last request to update the Erik Ramanathan article. If so, you can find that request here. Thanks! Danilo Two (talk) 13:21, 10 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hopping on here to say this request has been done. I didn't want you to waste any time going over there just to see that's it has been completed. I appreciate all your time reviewing requests for the article. Danilo Two (talk) 14:34, 1 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Sidley Austin edit request

edit

Hi! Just a heads up I got you a belated reply with a bit more context in response to your comment on my previous edit request for Sidley Austin. No worries if you're not interested; just wanted to give you a chance to look first before I incorporate into a future request.

Side note: I had seen and been delighted by depthsofwikipedia's post about you sourcing the Mpreg image, but didn't connect the dots until seeing your talk page just now that that was you! Makes me laugh what a small Wiki world it is. Thank you for the incredible diversity of your contributions. :) Mary Gaulke (talk) 18:15, 9 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Answered there.
I hadn't realized it made depthofwikipedia! And I had a bit of a laugh adding the mpreg hook to my user page with the contrast between my much more Serious Business COI work, glad I'm not the only one. Rusalkii (talk) 18:54, 10 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hi again! In case you missed it, got you another reply over at Talk:Sidley Austin with some proposed language. Thank you kindly. Mary Gaulke (talk) 11:30, 8 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Thank you - one small problem

edit

Hi @Rusalkii thanks so much for giving me the go ahead on Talk:Minouche Shafik - unfortunately I am a lowly autoconfirmed editor and I can't actually go ahead because of the topic protection on the article - would you be able to help? Thanks again for the fast response, and if I can help in any way please let me know! Seeksend (talk) 10:27, 18 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

And done. Rusalkii (talk) 18:27, 18 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
You're amazing, thank you! I've responded to your comment there regarding the other mention in-text with a citation which I hope suffices. In the meantime, I don't know if I'm permitted to grant branstars to say thanks for taking the time, so please accept this star from the special character menu: ☆ Seeksend (talk) 11:30, 19 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! Barnstars are not officially anything, there aren't any rules about who can grant them, but it might be in somewhat poor taste, so I'll take my tiny star :) Rusalkii (talk) 17:17, 19 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thanks again for reviewing that final source! Seeksend (talk) 18:06, 20 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I have responded to your feedback in the Nomination for Giselle Mather. Thank you for providing it.Kwib (talk) 10:09, 25 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hello, thank you so much for reviewing the nomination. Now that it is good to go for DYK is there anything proactive that I need to do or does it just automatically flow through the next steps?Kwib (talk) 12:56, 29 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
A promoter should get to it eventually, there's sometimes a delay but nothing you need to do unless they find an issue with the nomination. Rusalkii (talk) 18:25, 29 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
Excellent. Many thanks for responding. Kwib (talk) 15:19, 1 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

COI Request Russian language assistance

edit

Hi there Rusalkii! You kindly said you would take a look at my pending COI request last month on the Vladimir Stolyarenko talk page but you unfortunately fell unwell. Is there any possibility you would be happy to take another look if you are feeling better?

Sorry to chase as you clearly help a lot in this area - it is just quite unusual to find someone kind enough to look at requests who also speaks Russian, so I'd be extremely grateful. Cebuharks (talk) 14:05, 25 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Oops, I did say I'd review that, sorry. Looking right now. Rusalkii (talk) 22:11, 25 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Page has been reviewed

edit

Hi, 18 days ago you apparently somehow sent me a message stating a page I previously worked on "has been reviewed". I'm not actually sure where or how you sent that message, because the only sign I could find of your message was in my inbox itself.

I was wondering where I could find the review mentioned. It seems that the page in question is now being redirected to that of its parent org., which is a change I don't disagree with, but I'd like to see where the discussion happened, as I cannot locate it. Cheers! --Sauronjim (talk) 12:24, 31 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

@Sauronjim when redirects are reviewed, you generally just get a notification (and possibly email, depending on how your settings are configured) - no talk page message. I'd have done this through WP:NPP, which is generally reviewed unilaterally, so there's no discussion. If instead you think that I reviewed the article, as an article rather than a redirect, then that's somewhat strange because I very rarely review articles, and I'd appreciate a link to the article in question. (Though in that case there probably wouldn't be discussion as well, regardless of whether it was me or someone else). Rusalkii (talk) 06:15, 1 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
To be honest, I'm not really sure what happened. The notification I got said, verbatim:
> The page British International School Ho Chi Minh City has been reviewed.
>
> Rusalkii
Clicking it took me to this URL: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=British_International_School_Ho_Chi_Minh_City&redirect=no --Sauronjim (talk) 08:37, 1 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
Huh. Well, I think I remember seeing that when reviewing, which is about as much as I can say here unfortunately. It was redirected by User:Allan Nonymous, so perhaps ask them? Rusalkii (talk) 21:15, 1 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I've been going through these articles and redirecting them to the parent org from time to time. Virtually all lack sufficient sourcing per WP:GNG, and there have been changes to WP:NSCHOOL since these articles were written. Allan Nonymous (talk) 14:06, 2 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
Sorry Allan, I replied on your user talk page with the intent of not bothering Rusalkii on their page. I don't know if you saw it, because there was no reply. --Sauronjim (talk) 03:39, 8 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Desert musk shrew DYK

edit

Hello! Your submission of Desert musk shrew at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) at your nomination's entry and respond there at your earliest convenience. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! The issue is mainly with the choice of image. I think it would be fine without one (and more appealing to click through to find out exactly where this distribution is). A shame there aren't any photos out there, even copyrighted ones. Sadhan Samar page create

edit

Hi Rusalkii, i saw recently you declined my submission for Draft:Sadhan Samar article. I respect your decision. You mentioned that it needs reliable references. Can you help me in doing that. Can you let me know how and what type of references are required so that article gets approved. What type of references do I need. I don't have too much references. I have some publishers who mentions about the topic and books are sold. How to proceed ahead. Sadhan Samar is a famous text but online its not much available. So that it becomes famous online that's why I'm creating this article. I will try to add more references time by time whenever I get more sources. It would be really helpful if the article gets published for now so that it can help people dive into spiritual truth.

Looking for your further assistance. Thank you. Ankeshav (talk) 07:48, 4 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi @Ankeshav. You may want to review the guidelines on reliable sources and on the criteria for which subjects should have articles. My notes on some kinds of sources that aren't great might also help. Overall, you want a couple sources which are independent from the subject (so not by them or people associated with them), published and reliable (so not blogs or social media), which have significant coverage (so more than a couple sentences) about the person. If you don't have those sources, then this person isn't a great fit for an article. If there are sources like this that are print only, that's fine - cite those and then a reivewer will take a look. If there aren't, Wikipedia generally isn't for making someone famous - we cover people once there's already some things written about them. Rusalkii (talk) 22:26, 4 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi, it has been a few days since you marked the draft Draft:Tropical Depression 26W (2017) under review, and waiting for the deletion of the initial title. The title was deleted two days ago. Is it possible to review it now? A1Cafel (talk) 07:33, 7 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Thanks

edit

Thank you for reviewing several edit requests lately. I have submitted a few requests for the Trendyol article, based on a draft I've shared on the article's Talk page, if you have any interest in reviewing. I don't feel the requests are particularly controversial, since they are focused on funding, ownership, and operations, but I'm struggling to get editor feedback. Either way, thanks again for your help. Inkian Jason (talk) 20:25, 7 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

@Inkian Jason, while I don't mind being pinged for requests that are directly related to ones that I have already reviewed, since I might have context on them that other editors don't have, I would rather not be pinged for random requests you're involved in. I'd be worried that could shade very easily into the appearance of "Rusalkii working with PR firm Beutler Ink", which I'd like to avoid even if everyone involved has the best of intentions.
Axad12, who'd reviewed a lot of edit requests, has not been reviewing lately (there was a whole mess at ANI, as anything at ANI tends to rapidly become), so the backlog's been growing. I know it's very frustrating to throw things into the void and not get a response for months and months. Rusalkii (talk) 20:57, 7 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
Of course, I understand. Thanks for your reply, Inkian Jason (talk) 13:58, 8 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

DYK for Puna mouse

On 11 April 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Puna mouse, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. Signature contrast

edit

Hello. I love the colour you chose for you signature. But.. I think it doesn't meet the minimum contrast requirements for accessible signatures. Would you be willing to check using this contrast checker tool? And make the colour a bit darker? Thanks in advance! —Femke 🐦 (talk) 07:59, 13 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hmm. I use specifically this color lots of places and this change feels very weird. Perhaps I'll tweak to some entirely different color area rather than an uncanny valley version of this green.
